Brickburn Speaker

A mash up of acoustics and material experimentation. This compact sound system uses a concrete housing, dyed red and shaped to reference the ubiquitous red brick. The speaker's outer dimensions are based on a UK Imperial brick size, made in the Brickburn district of Calgary, AB between 1906 & 1931.

Music can be played via bluetooth or auxiliary cord. A combination of a 20 Watt active driver and a passive radiator produce clear sound with a frequency response of 100-20,000 Hz. Loud for its size, the speaker will fill a large room with sound at top volume.

Due to the nature of concrete, some visual imperfections such as cracks and blemishes may occur. Audio performance is tested and guaranteed for each unit.

Materials: Concrete, PET-G plastic, sourced parts.
